Line and Paragraph Spacing in Word

How to change the spacing between lines in a Word document.

Sometimes when writing a small letter you want to extend the letter to take up more room on the page. Adding spaces between the lines will extend the letter to take up more room.

1. Click on the HOME tab.

In the Paragraph section see the icon with lines and up/down blue arrow, shown below in blue.

2. Click on the Line and Paragraph Spacing icon.

The check mark illustrates that single spacing is the selected spacing where the cursor is located at right now.

3. To double space the paragraph your cursor is in, click on 2.0.

Many people like 1.15 for a normal paragraph to make it easier to read.

How has the challenge been going for you so far? Are you meeting your goals of posting and hopping to other blogs? 3/4 of the way done!
My blog's giveaway is still going. I'm encouraging everyone to visit more stops.

I opted to comment here because I have an actual comment for this one.

While I understand THIS part of what you said, I have trouble keeping spaces when copy/pasting.
    Double space in word.
    Double space in Scrivener.
No space- not even between paragraphs- when copied to Wordpress! Visual or text (html), same issue. I have to go back and insert spaces.
Any easy tip or suggestion? I am far less tech inclined than you, having zero training (I learned by watching and by Google), but I follow along fairly well when it's step-by-step.

    1. I know there is a way in Word to upload straight from Word into a blog rather than copy and paste. I know copy and paste does wreck things.
I need to post the instructions for this.

I will stop by your blog!! :) Thanks
