Insert Symbols in Excel


1. Click the Insert Tab

2. Click on Symbol in the Symbols section [far right on the Tab]




A list of twenty most commonly used symbols appear.
Once you have used symbols, the last items you have inserted will appear here; as shown on the right.


If the item you want isn't on the list of 20 items then select More Symbols at bottom of the list.







3. Click on More Symbols....

The following window appears.












4. Use the scroll bar on the right to scroll down to view the symbols available.

5. Click on the symbol you want.

6. Click on Insert.

    The window does not automatically disappear.
7. Click on Close.
